Natural Gas

CR HMI – Control Room Human Machine Interface – Upgraded screens/functions used by Gas Control personnel to monitor/adjust gas pipeline equipment. Upgrades reduced previous custom development and utilized tools available in standard GE iFix product. Implemented Historian feature to keep time-stamped readings and produce trend graphs for troubleshooting anomalies. Built screens for regional locations utilizing objects with data collected via remote telemetry equipment.

SAP OS Upgrade – Upgrade SAP servers to MS Server 2016 and SQL Server 2012 as previous versions where losing support. 

CIS Hardware Refresh – Replaced current IBM iSeries Power7 & 8 Systems and IBM SANs (storage area networks) with new IBM iSeries Power9 systems and SANs. Built and deployed an isolated CIS development environment on the new IBM iSeries system and updated the supporting applications to currently supported versions.

Business Intelligence – Created visibility tools for metrics collected companywide to support
departments and initiatives.

Underground Natural Gas Storage –  Integration of IT components of new facilities and equipment into existing SCADA and SAP Asset Management platforms. Contract administration, commercial, and procurement services directed towards ensuring EPC general contractor met contract deliverables requirement.

Mobile Device Management – Planning phase to implement VMware’s AirWatch product to manage client mobile applications installed on all cell phone and tablet platforms, company and privately-owned. AirWatch provides a secure mobile email platform. Work involves scheduling initiation meetings with a VMWare implementation team and developing a project plan and schedule.

Electric Utilities

Data Center Move & Modernization – Reviewed current data center facilities, connections, servers and applications to determine the optimal way to reconfigure/redistribute resources. Evaluated opportunities to consolidate, standardize, and optimize throughout the process of migrating from two to three data centers.

TIBCO Software
Upgraded TIBCO BusinessWorks software from 5.12 to 5.14 and migrated and tested all associated applications.

AMI Metering Reading
Implemented enterprise wide six-state automated meter reading system.

Windows/Oracle Upgrades – Combined upgrade of Windows servers and Oracle databases for Distribution applications. Included meeting CSC security standards and upgrading multiple applications to bring them onto supported server/database versions.

Outage Management Upgrade – Upgraded Outage Management System (OMS) software and related DMS Call interface database, aligning with CSC policies. Implemented a new application and database platform and integrated with additional third-party software. Upgraded interface servers, Oracle databases, web tier, and workstation software.

Education

Six Sigma Implementation –
Supported the implementation of a Lean Six Sigma program, which included: development of project tracking tools (JIRA) and supporting material; development and maintenance of a SharePoint site; training logistics, coordination and evaluation; project review and feedback.

Call Center Software ReplacementReplaced an alternative call traffic and reporting system. Developed logical call trees and routing. Implemented system infrastructure; installed system software and configured 6 servers in a fault tolerant configuration. Implemented reporting system to keep track of customer SLAs and internal KPIs. Coordinated vendor resources. Implementation for go live using Agile methodologies. Coordinated a live UAT with dozens of volunteer callers to stress test the system and ensure call routing logic worked acceptably.

Operational Readiness – Focused on optimizing the organization’s most highly-valued processes in preparation for a significant business transformation. The project team partnered with departments across the organization to:

  • Prioritize high-impact processes & discover how they currently work.
  • Identify areas needing streamlining or other improvement.
  • Identify and remove process barriers and reduce rework.

Technology

Network Technology Gap Analysis – Provided PM-related services for a full-service network technology company. Managed a company-wide SOC2 gap analysis for the client, a mid-size CRM data provider. Conducted interviews, documented findings, delivered analysis and presented findings.

NetSuite Data Migration – Migrated data from NetSuite to Microsoft Dynamics CRM and data from NetSuite to Microsoft Dynamics AX. Oversaw and managed the vendor transitioning the warehouse inventory system from NetSuite to Microsoft Dynamics AX. Managed vendor installing the tax and resale certificate modules in Microsoft AX.

Finance

Various Banking Assignments – Installed and managed large POS systems and connections. Completed work on Automated Teller Machines and Teller Machines for interconnects and communications. Managed merger and acquisition project. Led project work with a bank performing both mainframe and branch conversions. Led technology upgrades for the bank’s remote locations for commercial banking and branch offices.

Banking Systems Projects – Developed bank portfolio & risk management system that consolidated input from several portfolio, trading, and investment systems to provide the Treasurer with a same day risk profile of the bank’s financial holdings. Enhanced the vendor applications from Sungard Financial Systems to support various new investment product offerings. Project managed the new branch retail sales platform project (ICAN) including the final three product builds. Led deconversion effort.

Healthcare

Enterprise Healthcare Delivery System Implementation – Implemented the Facets (Trizetto) enterprise healthcare delivery system (Facets Extended Enterprise (TM), NetworX Pricer (TM), and Facets Workflow.)  Trained and mentored internal business analysts to facilitate this corporate-wide business transformation project. Analyst were responsible for  successfully completing business and functional specifications and as-is/to-be processes. Conducted  analysis working with multiple departments, technical teams, and contract resources.

Hospital Telecommunications Project Leadership – Completed telecommunication and technology engineering and planning for existing and new building construction, including infrastructure, equipment and wireless communications systems. Defined telecommunications hardware and software systems, applications, and telephone networks related to installation, operation, upgrades and maintenance. Responsible for the design and maintenance of telecommunications networks. Project managed voice/data cable and fiber infrastructure for IT and telecommunications applications

Other Industries

Lumber – Completed risk assessment of all human resource programs and practices prior to the sale of the company and establishment of electronic data room.  Conducted competitive compensation analysis of jobs and presented results to management. Developed retention program.

Legal – Completed 360 degree assessment of CEO which involved interviewing all leaders and developing a leadership competency electronic survey for all employees. Following interviews and survey, developed summary themes of strengths and areas for improvement to be used in leadership coaching.

Manufacturing – Completed comprehensive review of  executive compensation plans relative to best practices. Developed recommendations including correcting plan language, improved integration of plans and new ideas for consideration.  

Union Labor Benefits Automated data processing & migrated the client’s dataflow to the AWS cloud, in support of building a centralized data mart for various reporting & analytics purposes. Project was in support of business processes that give homecare workers administrative support in terms of benefits, pay, recruiting/hiring, and professional development.
