Owner &
Chief Executive Officer
As the Owner and Chief Executive Officer, Paola is responsible for overseeing the entire business including building strong employee and client relationships as well as improving the value of the Company in terms of market share and revenues. Paola acquired Strategic Business Solutions in July of 2023 and is proud to be the leader of a minority and woman owned business.
Prior to joining Strategic Business Solutions, Paola was an executive with a proven track record of re-creating business units, strategic planning, growing, and managing team members, and enabling change. She has enjoyed full responsibility for mapping strategy to enable opportunity creation, defining processes and creating adherence to metrics. She has also been accountable for hiring and managing resources and operations while delivering on a vision. Her track record shows that she is a person in constant evolution, who enjoys the thrill of a challenge, creating opportunities, and driving efficiency.
Paola has occupied leadership roles in every company in which she has been involved. During her last endeavor, her team was responsible for 5-years success in providing best services to Microsoft, earning continuous client trust and becoming the largest vendor for three continuous years for a division of that entity.
With a commitment to continuous learning, Paola holds an MSc and an MA in Translation and Interpretation, a UW Certificate in Marketing, a Certificate in Financial Accounting from Harvard Business School Online. She is also PMP, PMI-ACP, and Prosci certified. She believes that success in professional services is possible through achieving both client and employee satisfaction while earning their trust.
Paola was born in Spain, has resided in the PNW for the last 24 years, fluently speaks three languages, and has two children.
Chief Operations Officer & Account Executive
Jerry serves as an Account Executive with many of Strategic Business Solutions’ clients. In addition, he oversees the operations, technology, and accounting functions at Strategic Business Solutions, Inc. and is actively engaged in recruiting and account management. His ability to understand the interrelationships between the operations side of the business as well as client relationships and consultant recruiting have created a smooth flowing enterprise.
Jerry’s corporate leadership background including his role as Vice President of Corporate Technology provides a strong foundation for his role in the business. With over 20 years of engineering, information technology, and project management, Jerry adds value in numerous ways.
Jerry has a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University. He is a certified Project Management Professional and actively engaged with the Portland Project Management Institute. He serves on various advisory boards of startup businesses and is an executive advisory board member for the Operations and Technology Management department at the University of Portland.
Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is passionate about volunteering, coaching and mentoring and is actively involved with American Red Cross and Boys and Girls Club of America.
Manager Operations & Recruiting
Samantha runs the day to day operations of the business and serves as the liaison between our clients and consultants on operational matters. She is responsible for all of the recruiting functions from job postings to sourcing to onboarding new employees. In addition, Samantha oversees our interns and internal employees. Her organizational, technology, and relationship skills are critical to our business success.
Samantha initially joined SBS as an intern while attending college at University of Portland where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Operations and Technology Management. During her tenure at college she worked as a student assistant within the department of her major and completed an internship in e-commerce with Kroger Company.
During her time off work, Samantha enjoys practicing self-care through weight lifting, meditation, and hanging out with her pets, Mushu and Hazel. She has a passion for working with dogs as well as reducing plastic pollution by cleaning up our oceans and minimizing personal plastic consumption.
